Player Ratings: ATK Mohun Bagan Go Top After Beating Jamshedpur FC

It’s over to Mumbai City FC to play their cards as match number 94 of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) saw ATK Mohun Bagan go past a resolute Jamshedpur FC to go atop the points table. With a game in hand, the Mariners are putting pressure on Mumbai who they will play in the last match of the season. It could be a final before the final and the showdown for the AFC Champions League spot for next year.

This match against Jamshedpur FC at the Fatorda Stadium was a typical ATKMB performance, wherein the first-half saw the Mariners keeping things tight and as always Roy Krishna finding a way to punish the opposition late in the second half. Here are our ratings for the top Mariners from this match.

ARINDAM BHATTACHARJA – 9/10

The Mariners lead when it comes to clean sheets kept in the season and against Jamshedpur FC it was the same story. The team needed its custodian, Arindam Bhattachrja to pull off some acrobatic saves in this game and he got a well-deserved clean sheet. The save in the second half by Arindam off the header of Nerijus Valskis was right up there as one of the best moments of the match for the Mariners.

PRITAM KOTAL – 8.5/10

Handling the right back position in this match, the experienced Pritam Kotal didn’t disappoint. He contributed to yet another clean sheet defensively but also provided some attacking impetus required in this match. Kotal wasn’t shy of crossing the ball whenever the opportunity came and created a goal-scoring opportunity as well in the game.

DAVID WILLIAMS – 8/10

The winner of the DHL Pass of the Match Award for his superb assist to his mate Roy Krishna helped David Williams get an 8/10 rating in the match against Jamshedpur FC. It wasn’t just his assist but his all-round game which caused issues to the Jamshedpur defence and the Australian forward seemed up for it from the first minute of the match.

ROY KRISHNA – 8/10

The winner of yet another Hero of the Match Award, Roy Krishna was once again a star on the pitch for his team. Time and again when his team has wanted him to deliver, Krishna has rarely disappointed and this was yet another time when his late goal sealed three crucial points for ATK Mohun Bagan.

SUBHASHISH BOSE – 7.5/10

As the season is going forward, Subhashish Bose seems to be getting better with his performances and his understanding with his new teammates seems to be improving game after game. It is pretty apparent that Antonio Lopez Habas wants Subhashish to try cross-field long balls towards Manvir Singh on the right flank and Bose delivered some peach deliveries in this game. Defensively as well he helped out the back four in all ways possible and kept the Jamshedpur winger quiet for the majority of the match.
