Udanta Singh is a product of the Tata Football Academy (TFA). The 24-year-old winger from Manipur joined Bengaluru FC in 2014, who were then competing in the I-League. Udanta has been with Bengaluru FC for more than 7 years now and recently signed a new extension that would keep him at the club till 2023. The ‘Flash’ as he is known by his beloved BFC fans would be hoping to continue this association with the club even further than the 2023 mark, as he is yet to peak as a football player.
THOI SINGH (Chennaiyin FC)
The next player on this list is Chennaiying FC’s attacker Thoi Singh. The 30-year-old Manipur winger has been around in Indian football since 2010 but his association with Chennaiyin FC goes back to 2016. It has been more than five years since Thoi signed for the Marina Machans and is still going strong.
ANIRUDH THAPA (Chennaiyin FC)
‘Boy wonder’ Anirudh Thapa is a gem who has honed his skills at Chennaiyin FC. The 23-year-old midfielder from Dehradun signed for the club in 2016 from Minerva Punjab FC and has won two titles with the Marina Machans. He is one of the star players in the national setup and Chennaiyin would be hoping that he continues to grow as a footballer and continues to bring joy to the people of Chennai.
DHANPAL GANESH (Chennaiyin FC)
Yet another player from Chennaiyin on this list is their defensive midfielder, Dhanpal Ganesh. The 27-year-old is a hometown boy and has been with the club for more than five years now. Chennaiyin believes in keeping its Indian core intact and Dhanpal is at the heart of this core. He has featured 43 times for the club and has a contract with them till 2022.
JERRY LALRINZUALA (Chennaiyin FC)
Young Jerry, as the Hero ISL commentators love to refer to him as, has been a regular for Chennaiyin since he was 17. He has been with the club since 2016 when the Italian World Cup winner Marco Materazzi was in charge. The 22-year-old left-back has registered 70 appearances for the Marina Machans and continues to be a key member of the squad going into the new season.
