A Look at How Leeds United vs Leicester City Will Shape Up

Leicester City will be tricky visitors for Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United at Elland Road on Monday, as both the sides try to sustain their position at the top half of the Premier League points table. While the Foxes sit sixth with twelve points from six matches, the Whites are ninth with ten points.

Though former English football giants Leeds United lead Leicester City in overall head-to-head, winning 47 and losing 43 of the 123 times they have clashed, the Foxes have been dominating of late. Leicester City have won seven of their last 15 face-offs, losing only two.

LEEDS UNITED

Leeds United will look to extend their momentum against Leicester City after they became the first team to beat Aston Villa at home with a 3-0 result last Saturday. Since starting with an encouraging display against Liverpool on the road – where Leeds lost by a close margin of 3-4, Bielsa’s men have beaten Fulham, Sheffield United and Aston Villa. They have held Manchester City to a 1-1 draw at home before losing to Wolves. However, Bielsa has found injury impeding his progress with every game as he will be without Kalvin Phillips, Diego Llorente, Adam Forshaw and Gaetano Berardi for this game.

LEICESTER CITY

After qualifying for the Europa League last season, Brendan Rodgers has found no problem to keep his boys motivated week in week out. The Foxes have registered wins over West Bromwich Albion, Burnley, Manchester City and Arsenal so far, with the team showing promises for yet another high finish this season. However, Rodgers will have to improvise against Leeds as he will be without Wilfred Ndidi, Caglar Soyuncu, Ricardo Pereira and Daniel Amartey.
